This was another week with last minute changes. However the lads adapted well to the formation and started the game well. Dominant in possession and united in the press put huge amounts of pressure on the league leaders. The game plan was working well reducing the opposition to long balls which we recovered the ball and went on the ascendancy. Ethan Nunn ran the first half with some fine interceptions and passing which led to creating several chances in the first half. The best acme from Alex Willmore who had a quick interchange in the middle before striking a thundering 25 yard shot onto the post. Alex, Henry and Ethan were causing huge problems on the ball and with the pace of Sam and Alex out wide the hosts couldn't cope, sadly we couldn't take advantage of the dominance

A rare lack of concentration at the back failing to deal with another long ball and totally against the run of play we were 1 - 0 down. Picking themselves up the lads responded well with creating more chances a couple gaol line clearances and piling the pressure on the host keeper. Ours in contrast had very little to do despite the towering forward line however we went in 1-0 down.

Minor changes at half time saw the introduction of Ben Morely out wide however, much like the first half we were the brighter of the two sides getting on the ball and squeezing them into errors. Owen Rice converted a fine move as the ball was played in down the left leaving Owen the opportunity to fire the ball into the roof of the net to equalise. However as the old saying goes you are most vulnerable when you have just scored and this sadly came home to roost as 2 minutes later another mix up at the back left their striker alone to take the lead.

Disappointed however the lads again picked themselves up and should have gone on to win the game, another strike against the post from Owen and a powerful drive against the bar from Sam Finlay really sums up our luck in front of goal at the moment. I cannot fault the guys for their effort and togetherness and feel that with a little more fortune in front of goal we would be and deserve to be higher up the table.
